The Fitzpatrick Scale

The Fitzpatrick skin scale is the most recognised categorising tool used by laser clinics and dermatologists to determine a person’s skin pigmentation. Your Fitzpatrick skin type number determines how the machine is set up to your skin type allowing us to tailor the treatment specifically to your needs.

 

The Fitzpatrick scale is numerically based from I-VI, with I been the lightest skin pigmentation type and VI been the darkest.

 

Our clinics machine can treat up to skin pigmentation type V.

 

It is important to answer all questions during the consultation correctly and honestly so that the machine is set to the correct level as a too higher level can burn the skin and a too lower level and the treatment will ineffective and will take longer to see a result.
