Acne and Acne Scarring
The IPL/Elight technology reduces the number and severity of the active acne lesions lessening the inflammation and frequency of the breakouts

The light emitted from the IPL targets the overactive sebaceous glands which kill’s the acne bacteria, this treatment is not a cure for acne but can reduce the number of breakouts and redness.
Acne Scarring
When acne breakouts happen it causes trauma to the skin, your body then starts to produce an inflammatory response which stimulates collagen to be produced. It does this to try to repair the areas which have broken out; collagen is normally a welcome substance however because of the acne the collagen gets clogged in the pores of the skin causing infections (Acne).

IPL/Elight treatment recreates the same inflammatory response that is caused by the acne scar but this time a more precise controlled version. The Elight technology produces heat that kills the bacteria inside acne and triggers the repairing of the surrounding skin, by doing this it is removing the existing damaged skin layers and produces new collagen this then makes the skin smoother with a more even skin texture. More severe cases may improve with IPL/Elight but may need further treatment which would be performed by a dermatologist
Rosacea

There is no permanent cure for Rosacea but facial redness flushing and veins can be reduced by using IPL.
The treatment works by using light energy to target the problem capillaries in the skin. The heat that is generated destroys the problem blood vessels which then your body reabsorbs leaving your complexion paler this also leaves a more even skin tone.
Thread Veins

Thread Veins (red veins) are small damaged veins in the skin, they appear as a red or purple line often in the form of thin branches. Thread Veins are very common in both men and women usually appearing on the face and chest.

IPL is a safe, precise and effective way of treating Thread Veins with minimal effect on the surrounding skin due to the selective photo thermolysis process. Results can be usually seen instantaneously, however a course of treatments may be needed depending on the severity of the Theard Veins/area.
Pigmentation and Sun Damage
Age spots and freckles are types of skin pigmentation; they usually form from sun exposure or by the natural ageing process. The look of the blemishes can vary but they are mostly common on the face neck, decolletage and hands.

IPL is an effective treatment for Skin Pigmentation as it is very precise, painless and has minimal impact on the other areas of the skin due to its targeted nature. The pulses of light are absorbed by the high concentration of melanin which is found in age spots and other pigmented areas.
Once the melanin is heated it is destroyed which then breaks the blemish down. The blemish may become darker before it flakes/ fades away.
